At the end of this school year, Coach Robert Hill plans on retiring from the Missouri Educational system.  He has been in the educational business for 31 years.  In June, he and his wife Cheryl, will have been married for 34 years.  Their son, Michael, will graduate next year from Dixon High School.  When asked what he plans to do after retirement his statement was "I do not have a clue".

Mr. Hill graduated from Albany High School in Albany Missouri.  He then recieved his B.S. degree from Northwest Missouri State University.  He received his M.S. and E.D. Spec. at Southwest Missouri State.

His first teaching position was in Plato Missouri.  He ran his Eagle tenure from 1972-1993.  He then went to Ellington Missouri as a H.S. principal (1993-1997) and later transfered to Dixon as the H.S. administrator 1997-2003.

During his stay at Plato, he coached Jr. High Basketball, assisted H.S. Basketball and was the Head Baseball Coach.  This past season he took over the Dixon Bulldog Baseball program.  His coaching accomplishments are as follows:

380-235 record at Plato (not including Dixon full Record)

8 District Championships

3 Final Four Appearances

Inducted into the Hall of Fame in Spring 2005

When asked what his most memorable moment in the Frisco League was, he stated "winning the League Championship four years in a row - 1985-1988".

We wish Coach Hill an enjoyable retirement and pray for Cheryl that she can handle him being home all the time.
